Product Overview
A gear is a rotating machine part having radially projecting cut teeth on a circular disk which mesh with another toothed part to transmit torque. Geared devices can be used to change the speed, torque, and direction of a power source. This Spur Gear is made up of Delrin® material which is also known as Polyoxymethylene (POM). The material possesses a linear structure with a highly crystalline quality that provides a variety of characteristics: outstanding wear, long-term fatigue, toughness and creep resistance as well as excellent resistance to moisture, solvents and strong alkalis. The 7/16 inch wide gear has 3/16 inch face width with 30 teeth. The gear comes with a stainless steel hub with a bore of 0.25 inch diameter throght which it can be attached to the shaft. The teeth of this gear can mesh with all gears having the same shape. This white colored gear assembly is compatible for use in the assemblies of Omega 3 Table which are used with GE's Interventional Image Guided Systems. The item will be shipped in suitable packaging to give adequate protection during transit.
